Maksimalno štedeći zbog visokih novčanih obveza spram graditeljskih tvrtki, koje obnavljaju potresom oštećene zidine Staroga grada iz 16. stoljeća i matične zgrade svoje kulturno-povijesne ustanove u Tomislavovoj ulici, Gradski muzej Siska i njegov ravnatelj prof. Marijan Bogatić već duže vrijeme nastoje popuniti izložbeni prostor na otvorenom u povijesnoj Barutani u Capragu. Za izradu betonske stajanke jeftinijim radovima pomoć je pružila “Tehgradnja” Ilije Beare, koja obnavlja Stari grad na ušću Kupe u Savu iz povijesne bitke Hrvata s Osmanlijama 1593., a transportiranje aluminijske ptice HV-a jedan petrinjski obrtnik.
Uz primjerke trofejnog tenka T-55 i ručno izrađenih oklopnjaka u Termoelektrani “Sisak”, na red je došla i jedna letjelica.
Gradskom muzeju Siska na posebnom natječaju Ministarstvo obrane Republike Hrvatske – uz Dan branitelja Siska – dodijelilo je isluženi helikopter MI-24 za vojno elektronsko djelovanje koji je uoči 3. rujna i svečane sjednice Gradskog vijeća razgledao i gradonačelnik Domagoj Orlić.
Naime, u Barutani je Sisak 1991. postao prvi hrvatski grad koji je djelovanjem zametka vlastitih oružanih snaga pri raspadu Jugoslavije prema Srbiji ispratio pripadnike ranije zajedničke jugovojske, postavši i grad prve oslobodilačke formacije ZNG-a. (J.F.)
